Mit der aufkommenden Reiselust der 50er\/60er hatte Westfalia genau das richtige Produkt am Markt, das zudem noch eine elegante Linie zum Zugwagen bildete. Der Preis war ca. DM 820, Naben- und R\u00e4deranpassung wurden f\u00fcr den Wagentyp extra berechnet (f\u00fcr VW ca. DM 17 ohne Zierdeckel, also Radkappen). Ebenso war eine Originallackierung zum Zugwagen passend gegen Aufpreis m\u00f6glich.<\/p>\n<p>Gesch\u00e4ftsleute, Reisende und Handwerker nutzten diese Zweckm\u00e4\u00dfigkeit auch. Immerhin schaffte <em>Wolfsburg<\/em> eine Tragkraft von 250 kg bei einem Leergewicht von 150 kg. Der von den Raumma\u00dfen gr\u00f6\u00dfere Bruder <em>Stuttgart<\/em> gleicher Bauart brachte es auf 500 kg max. SUV-Fahrer erhaben ist, aber f\u00fcr einen alten K\u00e4fer gibt es vermutlich keine sch\u00f6nere Gespannformation.
