Ab Modelljahr 1966 sind das 40 PS aus 1300 ccm Hubraum. 128 km\/h und ein verbessertes Drehmoment (gegen\u00fcber dem 1200er bis 1965) bleiben f\u00fcr die \u00e4u\u00dfere Sportwagenerscheinung dennoch eher bescheidene Daten. <em>Sekret\u00e4rinnen-Ferrari<\/em> oder andere Spitznamen bekommt der sch\u00f6ne VW, der bei der weiblichen Kundschaft gut ankommt. Relais links oberhalb des Vergasers ist \u00fcbringens nicht serienm\u00e4\u00dfig. Mit dem Relais werden die Kabel-Widerstandswege der 6-Volt Anlage f\u00fcr den Anlasser verk\u00fcrzt &#8211; eine typische Verbesserung, die gern von den Werkst\u00e4tten verbaut wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Zu den optischen Retuschen des &#8217;66er Jahrgangs geh\u00f6rt:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heckschrift <em>1300<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Neupositionierung des R\u00fcckspiegels mit sog. Patina. Auch das seeblaue <em>Fotomodell<\/em>\u00a0 hat reichlich davon. Der Z\u00fcndschl\u00fcssel auf dem Tunnel wird nicht mehr viel gedreht, aber min. einmal im Jahr wird der Tank leergefahren, damit frisches Benzin eingef\u00fcllt werden kann.<\/p>\n<p><a Fazit einer Probefahrt: f\u00fcr die typischen Oldtimerveranstaltungen (Ausflugs- u. <em>Kaffeefahrten<\/em> \u00fcber Nebenstrecken) ist der KG bestens geeignet, alle Oldies mit gro\u00dfen Motoren sind hier zumeist ohnehin ma\u00dflos unterfordert. Er hat hohen Sympatiewert und darf zurecht als Meilenstein deutscher Automobilgeschichte bezeichnet werden. Ist die <em>Vorstellung<\/em> vorbei, kann man noch ein wenig die <em>Programmheftchen<\/em> lesen.
